How to put on an (Art) Show. Commission for Vitrine, Leeds City Station, April - May 2005
"In appearance, How to put on an (art) show resembles a flow chart or diagram comprising hand-written text, drawings, and appropriated images and text. The chart aims to arm the total novice with everything he or she would need to stage an art exhibition, with information on offer including helpful advice, cautionary notes, important contacts and recommended suppliers, entertaining anecdotes, timelines, and technical know-how. Although humorous, the piece operates as a serious resource tool for artists and also elaborates the Black Dogs' ethos of shared information, transparency of process, and the demystification of the art world's inner circles."
